Project background
ScrapeTec Trading GmbH develops innovative products for conveying systems. The company is based in Kamp-Lintfort on the Lower Rhine and uses its experience of more than 30 years in the field of conveying equipment engineering to help its customers worldwide reduce operating costs, increase operational reliability and improve the sustainability of industrial conveying systems.
Their products target reduced dust generation at transfer points, spillage improvements and safer and more efficient belt cleaning at critical points along conveyor routes.
Project aim
The goal of our close cooperation is the product development and system integration of software and hardware for the E-PrimeTracker, an intelligent conveyor belt tracker, which is used for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of the transfer points in conveyor belt systems. In order to get as much information as possible about the condition of the conveyor systems, data from different sensor types and measurement methods are combined and processed (multi-sensor data fusion). Signal processing algorithms such as the Fast Fourier Transform for frequency analysis of vibrations and oscillations are combined with other methods to best describe the condition of the individual, mechanical components as well as the overall system.
